I have my students answer questions about things they like about summer. Each student then makes a pair of flip flops that represents their answers. Getting Ready For THIRD Grade is a great packet to use the last few weeks of school. It can also be sent home for extra summer practice. I usually give it to my kids the last week of school. It is Renee over at the science school yard. In our district we have science as a special or encore so that our teachers get prep and our students are assured an hour of science a week. We need more time and it isn't perfect but I love it.
