Five for Friday- OH My!

Halloween is over...YAY! Boo! YAY! Boo! I have mixed feelings about October coming to an end. I love Halloween with my OWN children, but it is controlled chaos at school. I enjoy all the activities, but I am wiped out and glad it is the weekend. Here is a little peek at my week....

We reviewed collective nouns with this adorable freebie from Linda Kamp. The kids really enjoyed making their bushel baskets and finding all the collective nouns. It was a great way to revisit the topic with a hands-on approach. Click HERE for the blog link where you can find this freebie if you are interested.

2. Halloween was in full effect at my house last night. We had 40+ people (kids and adults) at our house and then we went trick-or-treating in the 'hood. My mom (God bless her) made 2 dozen of these incredible red velvet cupcakes for everyone to enjoy! Thank you Pinterest for the idea and thank you Mom for making it happen! They were a HUGE it!

3. My mom also made these for my two boys. Adorable and great decoration for our festive event.

4. My Mom (AKA Martha Stewart j/k) also made these Pinterest inspired mummy pots. Sorry I don't have the Pinterest link (I didn't make them). However, it is a flower pot spray painted green. Then, it is wrapped in gauze. Finally, glue on google eyes in several spots and fill it with candy corn. Let's just say the pots don't have much candy corn left in them....another hit!

5. One of the best things this week was walking to the office this morning and finding these in my box. Our pen pals wrote to us with these adorable ghosts. They also included an awesome new book for our classroom library! We love our pen pals!

Make sure to stop by tomorrow (11/2) because I have a BIG surprise to share with all of you! You won't want to miss it! Make sure to link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching and share your week in pictures. Happy Friday!
